As a complete exercise novice, I thought that PT was something that other people did. I began training with zero confidence and meager fitness levels. Thanks to Sam's enthusiasm, encouragement and endless patience, I have steadily built my fitness and ability. He is really interested in my goals and pushes me at times I would normally give up. I train twice a week with him and due to his varied sessions it prevents me from getting bored. We do however re-visit key exercises that allow me to see the progress I'm making. We also laugh a lot during the sessions which is a great bonus!

Sam is an amazing S&C coach. He has been looking after me for 5 years now and has turned me from someone physically weak and fragile and regularly injured to a strong and healthy athlete. His training has also helped me grow mentally and emotionally as a person too. His knowledge is extensive and he is always looking to better himself in order to help him better others. I cannot speak highly enough of him, all the pain is worth it, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time!

I started training with Sam as I needed some guidance on how to improve my running skills and increase strength, I had plateaued with results and experienced some minor niggles. Since training with Sam I have become a stronger runner and also gained Personal Best times in a half marathon and park run. Sam has constructed a personal plan that is designed to strengthen the main muscles required for increasing speed and also accommodating stability, we train upper and lower body and Sam always explains the rationale behind what we're doing. This is why I think of Sam not only as a personal trainer but a source of knowledge too. He is extremely encouraging and his own challenges/competitions also show how determined and focused he is.

Sam created a programme based my desired goals in powerlifting, he helped me achieve said goals through excellent and continuous coaching, motivation and and drive for performance. In a 12 week programme he enabled me to increase my deadlift to 200 kg (10 kg added) and my back squat to 162.5 kg (15 kg added), I am delighted with the outcome and am now working with Sam to the next level with a further 12 week cycle.
